Joining forces, driving development forward, quickly implementing artificial intelligence – with these goals in mind, the Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence (IPAI) in Heilbronn is set to become a globally unique innovation and value creation center for AI. Porsche Consulting participates in the networking of research and business in order to strengthen Germany's position among international competition. “The exchange and pooling of knowledge in the Innovation Park for Artificial Intelligence will release urgently needed innovative forces. We want to help ensure that the best ideas quickly become reality,” says Joachim Lamla, Member of the Management Board of Porsche Consulting

The initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg, the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, and the Schwarz Group has high ambitions: “As an innovation ecosystem, our aim is to combine the necessary resources and expertise for the widespread application of AI on a central platform and thus enable synergy-driven collaboration among the individual members and partners,” says IPAI CEO Moritz Gräter. Europe's largest platform for applied artificial intelligence is to be built over the next few years on a campus covering 23 hectares in the north of the city of Heilbronn.

A first building near the future campus, the IPAI Spaces with 6,000 square meters of laboratory and office space, has already been opened. Short distances and co-working areas promote intensive interaction among the researchers, developers and companies involved. These include Porsche and Audi, or industry giants such as Würth and Fischer as well as successful German AI start-ups such as Aleph Alpha and organizations such as UnternehmerTUM.

As part of the Porsche Digital Family Porsche Consulting uses the physical proximity in the IPAI Spaces to work together with other companies on AI solutions. “We value the direct interaction with cutting-edge AI research and business. Networking with each other and pooling resources are important factors in accelerating the pace of developing and implementing artificial intelligence in Germany and Europe,” says Fabian Schmidt, Associate Partner and AI expert at Porsche Consulting.
