Porsche Consulting hosted the first Global Operations Summit in Berlin. At the event at the Volkswagen Group Forum next to the Brandenburg Gate 100 representatives from various industries gathered to talk about industrial resilience and competitiveness in challenging times.

The rise of global supply chain disruptions, the profit and cash pressure, ever-increasing quality and product complexity, workforce transformations, digitalization and sustainability expectations – all these levers cannot be effectively addressed through siloed functions anymore. With the COO Agenda, host Markus Uellendahl, Senior Partner and Global Practice Lead of Operations at Porsche Consulting, provided a strategic compass for decision makers to tackle those challenges effectively with an end-to-end approach in operations.

Speakers and panelists from global cross-industry market leaders like Albrecht Reimold, Board Member of Porsche, Jörg Heidelberg, COO Meyer Shipyards, or Karsten Schnake, Board Member of Skoda, presented their answers regarding future-proof industrialization as well as supply chain resilience and footprint fit. Wolfgang Niedermark, Board Member of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), and former Ambassador to the US, Peter Ammon, added a geopolitical perspective to the discussions. A 360-degree virtual Smart Factory Tour through the two Porsche production sites in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and Leipzig offered the guests a glimpse into the technological future of production.
